TribeCity is a product and service of Influence International, Inc. (“Tribalry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This page explains how we use text messages (SMS), who receives them, what they contain, and the choices you have.
This policy applies in addition to our Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Policy on the subject of text messaging, this page controls.
The short version: We only text people who already have a TribeCity account and have given us their mobile number. Texts are tied to events you are taking part in—things like reminders, check-in confirmations, and table assignments during an event. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we never share your mobile number with anyone for their marketing. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.
We only send text messages to people who:
We do not buy phone numbers, and we do not text people who are not already part of our community.
Every text we send relates to an event you are part of. These are operational, day-of messages that help the event run smoothly, such as:
At this time we do not use text messaging for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes of any kind. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first, and any marketing texts would require their own separate, clearly described opt-in.
You provide your mobile number when you create an account, register for an event, or check in at an event. By giving us your number, you agree to receive the event-related text messages described in Section 2.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using TribeCity or registering for an event. You can take part using email instead of text—just leave your mobile number out or opt out as described below.
How often you hear from us depends on the events you join. Most messages arrive around the time of an event you are registered for, so frequency varies and is generally limited to the events you choose to attend.
TribeCity does not charge you for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please check with your carrier if you are unsure about your messaging charges.
You can stop receiving event texts at any time:
After you opt out of texts, you may still receive event information by email, since email is a separate channel.
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. Mobile carriers (such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We treat your phone number and your messaging preferences with care:
We keep and protect this information in line with our Privacy Policy, including how long we retain it and the safeguards we use.
We may update this SMS & Text Messaging Policy from time to time. The “Updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Continued participation after an update means you accept the revised policy.
