SMS & Text Messaging Policy

Updated July 2026

TribeCity is a product and service of Influence International, Inc. (“Tribalry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This page explains how we use text messages (SMS), who receives them, what they contain, and the choices you have.

This policy applies in addition to our Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Policy on the subject of text messaging, this page controls.

The short version: We text members and event guests operational, event-related messages — reminders, check-in confirmations, and table assignments during an event. Members are enrolled when they join; guests agree when they register for an event. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we never share your mobile number for anyone’s marketing. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

1. Who We Text

We only text people who are already part of our community and have given us their mobile number:

  • Members — people who provided their mobile number and agreed to event texts as part of membership signup, and
  • Guests — people who provided their mobile number and agreed to event texts when registering for an event.

In every case the person is registered for or attending an event organized through TribeCity. We do not buy phone numbers, and we do not text people who are not already part of our community.

2. What Our Texts Are About

Every text we send relates to an event you are part of. These are operational, day-of messages that help the event run smoothly, such as:

  • Registration and RSVP confirmations
  • Event reminders and arrival or logistics details
  • A confirmation when you check in at an event
  • Your table assignment and table-rotation alerts during an event (for example, when it’s time to move to a new table)
  • Seat or schedule changes while an event is underway
  • Account or service notices connected to your participation

We do not send marketing texts

At this time we do not use text messaging for marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes of any kind. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first, and any marketing texts would require their own separate, clearly described opt-in.

3. How You Opt In

There are two ways people come to receive our event texts:

Members

When you sign up for a TribeCity membership, providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive event text messages is part of membership signup. As a member you are enrolled to receive the event-related texts described in Section 2, so you are ready for check-in and table information at the events you attend.

Guests registering for an event

When you register for an event as a guest on our website, you provide your mobile number and agree to receive that event’s text messages on the registration form. Because these messages — check-in confirmations and table assignments — are an integral part of attending, a valid mobile number and your agreement are required to complete guest registration for an event.

Either way, you can stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP (see Section 6). Standard message and data rates may apply.

4. Message Frequency

How often you hear from us depends on the events you join. Most messages arrive around the time of an event you are registered for, so frequency varies and is generally limited to the events you choose to attend.

5. Cost

TribeCity does not charge you for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please check with your carrier if you are unsure about your messaging charges.

6. How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving event texts at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any text message from us. We will send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you opt back in.
  • Reply START to begin receiving texts again.

After you opt out of texts, you may still receive event information by email, since email is a separate channel.

7. How to Get Help

Reply HELP to any message, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. Mobile carriers (such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. How We Protect Your Mobile Information

We treat your phone number and your messaging preferences with care:

  • We do not sell your phone number.
  • We do not share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We share your number only with the messaging providers that deliver our texts on our behalf, and only as needed to send the messages described in this policy.

We keep and protect this information in line with our Privacy Policy, including how long we retain it and the safeguards we use.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS & Text Messaging Policy from time to time. The “Updated” date above reflects the most recent version. Continued participation after an update means you accept the revised policy.
